Professional profile
Alexandru Cucu is one of the few blind software developers in Romania. Born in 1994 with visual impairments, he graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Bucharest. Today he works as an independent software engineer for multinational companies, runs his own company and serves as vice president and technology projects coordinator at AMAIS (Association of Alternative Methods of Social Integration). Since 2019 he has organised programming courses for blind people, enabling dozens of participants to learn and find jobs in IT.
Accessibility consulting: web and applications
I offer consultancy services for web and mobile accessibility, helping organisations improve digital experiences for people with disabilities. I analyse websites and applications and propose technical and design solutions to meet current accessibility standards.
Inclusive project management
I coordinate projects with a strong focus on inclusion, integrating the needs of people with disabilities into planning and execution. My approach emphasises diversity, participation and adaptability, ensuring that products and services are accessible and usable by everyone.
